By the time all is said and done (taxes, fees) it's about $130 total - which is a dandy price for the hilton. Last fall I offered $65 per night for a two day Fri/Sat stay and got placed in a rather new holiday inn out on manchester next to I-5, which was also perfectly suitable. It's a bit spooky buying a 'pig in a poke' - by the time you find out if your offer has been accepted and where they're placing you, the credit card has already been charged. But I have to admit, the value is unbeatable. And I'm very pleased to be staying at the hilton - it's close and it's dependable. I thought this info might be helpful for people making plans to visit anaheim and the parks. Somebody somewhere may have horror stories, but my two experiences have been more than satisfactory.

There are numerous websites out there that can give you some assistance when bidding but overall Priceline is a great way to cut costs on your trip if you don't have a specific hotel you want to stay at.

My best hotel was for $50 I got the Hilton Suites over by Angels stadium - every room is a full suite - it was wonderful and the parking was free!

Make sure you ask for a new one--they were MUCH nicer and it was a great stay.

All I was finding on Travelocity and other sites was in the $120-130 range, though they were a bit closer than this one. Gadzuux, I see you stayed there once. How was the location and the room?

They gave me two beds {one for me and one for daughter} at check-in without a hassle. However, check in was at 3 and I arrived at 245 and they made me wait. No biggie, we actually left, ran to Disneyland and checked in that night at around midnight! The restaurant next door as part of the hotel sucked unequivocally. Food was okay, service was slow, as in one hour to get your food, for a subpar Denny's type meal. Good hottub, although you share it with the hotel next door. Can get crowded. Crazycroc gives the Holiday Inn on Manchester, 2.763 out of 4 stars.

I usually can find a very nice 3* for around $50. Recently, I got the Hilton Suites in Orange for $47 per night. With free parking, it was a great deal. And since we have PAPs, the parking at DL was free as well, so we did not have to use the ART system.

The worst part was the commute-parking garage-tram thing, but quite honestly, we made that a little party, too. (So this time, baby, it's HoJo's and the 5 minute walk. Woo hoo!)
Originally Posted By gadzuux >> Gadzuux, I see you stayed there once. How was the location and the room? << Location was just 'okay' - not bad but not great either. Manchester is a bit of a trick to get to - it's a one way street that's basically a long on-ramp to I-5. The property was relatively new, and shares the lot with something else - maybe a 'stayamerica' or similar. Both appear to have been built within the last few years. I didn't eat at the coffee shop or visit the pool area so I can't comment on that. I did use the ART shuttle and found it to be just okay - generally waiting about 15-20 minutes each way. Driving in and out took some getting used to because of the one way street. The northern access to manchester (coming to the hotel) is almost invisible and a bit confusing until you do it a couple of times. The southern end of manchester (leaving the hotel) drops you into suburban neighborhoods that are easily navigated back to harbor blvd. The room itself was fine. No issues with comfort or noise or features. It's a holiday inn, but a nice one. I even had a view of the crystal cathedral from my room - rising behind all the trailer parks that were directly adjacent to the hotel. I was happy with the value of $65 through priceline, so I wasn't about to quibble over small potatoes issues.
