    I assume you know that there are four different point values for targets?
    Round=100 pts.
    Square= 1,000 pts.
    Diamond= 5,000 pts
    Triangle= 10,000 pts.

    A couple of low value targets reveal higher value targets:
    -- Jack in the box (two!)
    -- Round on wall before "super speed" tunnel
    -- Round on "broken toy" in final battle room reveals a triangle that's right in front of you (the targets are on the BACK wall).
    (There are more of these.)

    There are also two "hidden" targets worth 100,000 pts. Each time you see the figure of Emperor Zurg, look at the line running down his chest. There is a small black circle down from his clasp. Shoot directly into this, and get 100,000.

    You should also know that ALL targets reset immediately. If you are locked on, keep blasting away and rack up those points!

    And pennyring, I am usually a pretty mellow MickeyMommy, but put a lazer gun in my hand, and watch out!

    I can't wait to try it out on friday!

    * Ride once without shooting anything. Scope out the ride and figure out a strategy. You always want to be shooting a square or higher (unless you are shooting a circle that reveals a better target). There is only one part of the ride with nothing of high value to shoot (right after the first Zurg). Often you will be shooting way ahead or way behind you. There is also a coherent story to the ride that most people miss (You are attacking the robots so the little green men can retrieve the batteries in the first room; with the LGM's help, you enter Zurg's ship in the second room and attack Zurg, causing his ship to crash; Zurg's ship crashes on Planet Z in the room with the broken robots; you leave the ship after the crash through a broken wall and chase Zurg through Planet Z; Zurg escapes planet Z in an escape pod and you follow him into hyperspace (the speed tunnel); You meet up with Buzz Lightyear for a final showdown with Zurg in space; Zurg is returned to the store)

    * As Dug said, once you hit a target, keep shooting, but you don't want to keep shooting at a square and miss a diamond or triangle.

    * I have found that sighting along the gun helps my aim significantly. Most of the guns aren't quite true, so you will need to calibrate yourself on the early targets.

    * You can get more points hitting a diamond target three times than hitting a triangle once. Some of the triangles (especially the moving ones) are probably not worth going for, depending on your aim. A couple of prime examples of this are the diamond and triangle by the little Zurg before the speed tunnel (the triangle is very hard to hit) and the diamond and triangle in the final Zurg room (the triangle behind Zurg's arm is obscured much more than the diamond on the wall).

Aim at a wall and relocate it. My high score is 1,350,000 with a stop and 875,000 without any stops. It does help if you can hit Zurg for the big points. Good luck.

If you save (grab) the Aliens, you can earn lots of points. (if I've got it right). Hitting targets also releases different colors of batteries that online players can grab to earn points, shoot faster, etc. . .

    You can find the interactive version at Disneyland.com Go to the attractions, Buzz Light year Astro Blasters. Listen for the interval between shots when you are firing rapidly, and only press the trigger at that speed. Your hand will thank you.
