I'm sure they could do something with the river to make it look like it was planned that way. (Like make the Camp area into an island, and bring the boats back, but have them stop at the entrance, Asia, and the new area, not just do a round trip.)

And as much as I wish it was new construction, I don't think it is. I've asked around, and there's evidently a lot of infrastructure repair underway. They've had to move a whole hill, and the construction that's going on now is dealing with it's re-forestation.

Let's hope it's more than just planting a bunch of trees.

My guess is that this won't be happening for at least a little while longer. Also, from a satellite view I saw of DAK recently, I noticed quite a bit of earth moving going on just north of Everest and Asia. Is this just infrastructure again, or could there be some other possible park expansion for this area? Rumors of an Australian addition keep coming up every now and then, and I just wondered if there was any creedance to that rumor too?

Looking on Google Earth, it looks like the stuff being moved north of EE was just for the tracks in the early section of the ride. The image is fairly old, so there is only dirt there, but I believe most of it has trees on it now. The area north of the rest of Asia and Kali is fairly confusing. It is all dirt, but there aren't any sort of construction vehicles there. It looks like there is something in a grid pattern for part of it, so maybe it is a tree farm for the rest of the park. But then why not just have that area north of Kilimanjaro Safaris, like the rest of the tree farm? It could be for something new, but it would have a fairly tight path between Kali and the train. Nothing that couldn't be worked with, but it would be a little cramped unless something gets moved. It would also create a pretty large dead end, which could be a problem for a fairly narrow space.

I'd love to see that dragon in the park's logo and the 'Unicorn' parking section finally become relevant! Adding BK has always been a no-brainer. Team Rasulo didn't simply miss the boat with BK; they're obliviously standing at the wrong dock. What else is new.

Everest is a perfect blend of both. I would be very surprised to see Beastly Kingdom appear any time soon. DAK is a balance act between the environmental message and entertainment. BK would probably tip it in the wrong direction. I'm hoping that the Conversation Station changes will reinforce the educational slant to the park again.

I'd be surprised if anything came out on October 1. The press event for the Year of A Million Dreams is set for NYC later in the month if I remember rightly and the WDW kick-off is being held back for January so that Laugh Floor Comedy Club can be unveiled too.
