Breakfast, although a first, was no different. So good! We had some time to kill before we could check in to our hotel, so we headed for Disneyland! Right as we walked in the kiddos saw Goofy, and with my littlest being a toddler who loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, we had to go see him! Then it was time for a grand circle tour of the magic kingdom to set the tone for everything we would experience over the next 4 days! Great time! After that we rode pirates of the Caribbean and then it was time to ride the Winnie the Pooh ride since Pooh and friends are a couple of my toddler's favorite characters. We all enjoyed it! Now it was time to go check in. So we grabbed a quick lunch at the Jazz Kitchen Express (and some at the Taqueria) at Downtown Disney and then went to check in to the Desert Inn and Suites. It is right across the street from Disneyland. Dropped off the rental cars and then headed back to the parks! This time we were headed to California Adventure. My brother and nieces had never seen the new Buena Vista street and Cars Land so they were really impressed. We took a spin on Mater's Junkyard Jamboree and then headed over to California Screamin', after a quick stop at the beer cart. Just a 10 minute wait, and since a couple in our party were scared, they took our youngest on King Triton's carousel. After this we kinda had to high tail it over to Goofy's Kitchen for our Father's Day dinner! It was a blast! Lots of good food and great character interaction. The "usual suspects" (Minnie, Pluto, Chip and Dale) with a couple other cool ones like Jasmine and Aladdin and even Rafiki from Lion King which I'm not sure I have ever seen at the parks! Very cool! The only character I saw there that didn't make it by our table (sadly) was Snow White. But the time was good and the characters were a lot of fun! Then back to California Adventure for Monsters Inc, Muppet Vision 3D, and a stroll through a Bug's Land and Cars Land at night. I love both of those areas in the evening! We were pretty tired by now and ready to head back to the room. It was a back and forth kinda day between checking in and dinner at Goofy's, but it was nice to spend my Father's Day with my family at our favorite place! Now the kids are all showering and getting ready to call it a night. Thankful for this very special day!
