Born in 1955 - I was named after Davey Crockett -- popular Disney show and #1 hit that year I believe also -- and was stuck answering to Davey ( instead of David - Dave etc. for a few years. Remember all my toys being marked with my name - Davey -- including my holsters with six guns and coonskin cap.... okay Dave's -- check in ( not to say others can't post here also--I am just curious as to how many of us are here )

Idiots. Dave has memories of a take off on the Davey Crockett song that is grade school naughty. Any other Daveys taunted with that song?

My mom was born in 1955 and I had many coon skin caps bought for me over the years. With my own kids, there were key Disney links: Michael Sequoia (named after Mickey Mouse/Michael Eisner/and a terminally ill child I took to WDW & Sequoia - though a link to my Californian upbringing, we are often asked if he was conceived at the Sequoia Lodge DLP). Jessica Rose (after Jessie in Toy Story 2/Jessica Rabbit, and Roses are used in Californian Wineries (Napa Rose - fav restaurant) and Briar Rose from Sleeping beauty - hey, even the Golden Girls may have had some influence). Ok, we are sad.
