I'm scared to look beyond that.

When you ask if one can truly dress a potato as maleficent, what you're really asking is: What is this...

    <a href="http://www.laughingplacestore.com/images/products/6357L.jpg" target="_blank">http://www.laughingplacestore.
    com/images/products/6357L.jpg</a>

... and why, no matter what angle it is photographed, does it get a laugh?

Well, it takes courage to ask a question like that, and Daannzzz, you've done it. Of course, pondering these questions leads one to wonder how Ariel likes being a tuber. I don't think she likes it one bit. She didn't sing that she wanted to be part of our starchy food group. No. She wanted to be part of our world.

    Our world.

And what kind of world do we live in when our children are reduced to playing with plastic potatoes and dressing them up in fanciful ways? It's no wonder they can't spell P-O-T-A-T-O. Oh wait, they can, it was a vice president that couldn't.

It doesn't matter! The point is this -- potatoes simply are not sinister. You can put them in a Darth Tater hat all you want, but your precious spud won't be able to protect you. It will stare at you with it's comically crossed-eyes, smirking at you through its plastic lips, in your hour of need.

This is why all real Americans must rebuild our Chia Pet supply while there's still time. Chia Pets don't need arms inserted in their sides. Just some watering and UV rays is all they need to grow into a lush symbol of all that is right with the world.

    The world.

And left in the bottom of a toybox for a couple of weeks, your room became fragrant as the Mr. Potato Head began to morph, turning into a softened lump and sprouting tentacle-like vines that wove slowly and silently through other toys while you slept.

Back then, Mr. Potato head didn't need costumes to become sinister. What has happened to him in the years since shouldn't happen to a cauliflower.

    Dublicate, huh?

I could just see 2oony refusing to buy his kids Mr. Potato Head when they were little, and now is showering them with the tuber and his many (Disney) pieces.

PAPA 2OON: Hey kids, remember how you guys always wanted MPH all those years ago and I said I didn't have the money? Where your wish is finally come true! I got all of you MPH! And look at all these accessories!

TOONLET 1: Dad... we were 4 then. We're now in our teens!

TOONLET 2: And these aren't real MPH... these are the Disney versions! I'm going back to my X-Box!

TOONLET 1: Yeah, I'm outta here... back to my DragonBall-Z and Warcraft.

TOONLET 2: Btw Dad, here's my Christmas list.

PAPA 2OON: But...but there are no Disney items on it.

TOONLET 2: Of course not... we're too old for Disney!

    Ahem.

Good grief... just how many Disneyized limbs and accessories do they have for Potato Head? Why not put in the cryogenic chamber while they're at it? ;)

Ah, the Maleficent hat and sceptor are tempting, but then I'd have to BUY those, as well as buy Mr. Potato Head, which I never had as a child. Then again, my Collection of Evilâ„¢ is up to date and fairly complete, and nothing, and I mean nothing, will tempt me into purchasing Mr. Potato Head.

WE have currently 3 potatoes, one mini potato, a carrot and a corn on the cob!! (theyre his buddies) we also have a full toy box off bits for them and I have a huge order from the LP store for more on its way.....oh the shame.

I wondered, since they have introduced all these extra bits, like you can now dress "him" as Pater Pan, Mary Poppins, a pirate etc, do they have bigger areas at places like the toy shop at Down town Disney, with they accessories in?
