I think they have dinner/seat packages (not sure of the details). It seems like the tickets are getting harder to buy as some LPers who attend regularly weren't able to get any tickets.

Yes, it's crazy busy. Not only are there big crowds, the processional shuts down the train for part of the day. You cannot get in and out of the park easily. We were there last year and weren't even able to get into Disneyland for fear we wouldn't be able to get out in time to catch our airport shuttle HOURS later. It was a bit of a nightmare. I've been there twice for that weekend and will never willingly go during that time again.

The procession follows the parade route, so you can stand anywhere along there is you just want to see the choirs as they go by. If you want to watch the entire show, find a place in Town Square. Some people camp out all day. We always walk up shortly beforehand and have never had a problem finding a place to stand and see.

They do dining/seating packages. Be aware that they are quite expensive. I believe they started at $75 last year. Ticket Master did the selling for Disney and the site was inundated. It sold out in minutes, just like a major concert.
