So from the main gate to hotel with 3 boys would be a 5 min walk going to Disneyland and coming back after a long day may take you 7 mins =) I know others on LP have stayed more recently could help you out more.

They thought the walk was similar to DLH or PPH where they have stayed before. A couple of things I remember them mentioning. The "breakfast" ended serving at 9am which was too early for our late sleeping kids. The one day our son did make it there he got coffee and a donut so didn't bother again. So, I guess it's just a snack breakfast like most places, which is fine, just FYI. Also, our DDinlaw booked a club room or something like that and when they went to their room they noticed that the room didn't look like the one on the website. They went back to the front desk and they had been given the wrong room. Our daughter said that the room they had had Pergo or hardwood floors, which seemed to be in all the downstairs rooms. Chilly in Dec. but might be nice in the summer Just some random stuff, nothing bad just FYI. They all recommended it to their sister who is planning a Oct. trip. They are not deciding between Carousel and Candy Cane. Have fun on your trip and Welcome to LP

It is farther away but it has its own shuttle which is very prompt. I think the main difference between the two hotels is that the Candy Cane has a hottub which is nice after a long day at Disneyland.

All in all a nice place and close to the Disney entrance, just don't be fooled by their pictures.

When we returned we were given the same rooms (smoking and very nasty) again. There was no record that we had even been there earlier in the day. It took a while but everything was straightened out and we had wondrful updated rooms with skylights for the next 4 nights. It was very clean and well worth the money. Since then the rates have been 109 and up when we have wanted to go so we now stay at HoJo's using the entertainment rate.
