    I guess I don't need to elaborate.

Ok ok ok forget the religious reference. Just suffice to say that I think we owe it to ourselves to keep the COP, even if it were to be updated, I say we keep it, AT LEAST in concept only. That is to say, it we got rid of it, maybe replace it with a new version. Ofcourse there are those who argue that that is what the entire of Future World is all about.

Either the toons remain temporary for a few years .. and get back to a real Tomorrowland .. or move CoP over into Future World at EPCOT, with the fourth act completely redone ... and a second floor to contain Progress City. God knows there's more than enough room for it at EPCOT.

But I get what you mean. I too feel we should not loose such classic attractions. Sadly, many guests who are just now discovering Disney for the first time find these types of classic offerings to be boring or beneath them, reason why management feels totally justified by making changes that are sometimes for the best and most times for the worst. COP, as important as it is for being a Legacy attraction by Walt himself... may have to be upgraded ir deleted altogether. I wonder if walt himself would have found this show dated had he loved long enough to see some of the technical advances the 70's and 80's brought about.

Sadly I think you may be right. While we relate it to a special time in our lives - a different time - those who don't have the connection to the past that we do might not see the value of "the classics".

I remember CoP from it's pre 1964 World's Fair concepts, and it was indeed my favorite attraction when I would go to the fair ... though the nuclear explosion would always scare me <G>.

When I saw it again at DL it was like seeing an old friend ... and even moreso when it arrived at WDW.

But the newer generation does not have that history.
