Alarm! Alarm! Can it be? Is it really here? Is it 4:00am and time to get up? Already?!?! YeeHaaa! Our trip is finally here and we are all jumping out of bed to get ready to leave at 5:30. After a quick pack of the van, best friends arrive and we are on the road by 5:30, right on schedule. After a breakfast stop in Blythe, we go to the Park Vue at about 12:30 and checked in. As we expected, our room was not ready yet, but that was okay because we planned on going to Huntington Beach to say hello to the ocean. We head down Harbor and dabbled our toes in the water, then headed up the road to Wahoo’s Fish Tacos and filled up on yummy fish tacos. DD2 saw a sweatshirt in one of the shops and so we stopped and bought it for her. She needs a new one anyway and it has these cute little skulls and crossbones in white, black, and gray against a charcoal background. Having had our fill of tacos and purchases there, we headed back up Harbor and stopped at Target for water and other supplies. Back to the hotel and get our rooms. We unloaded and headed out to Downtown Disney and think about some dinner. Amazing how fast the day went and how hungry we all were considering the fish tacos it felt like we had just eaten. Downtown Disney was packed and teeming with people and kids in costumes for Mickey’s Halloween Treat. We were going to eat at ESPN Zone, but the wait was upwards of 2 hours and we were all getting tired, so we went over to Ralph Brennan’s for a light supper. Food was good, but the triplet playing was way, way to loud for the small room we were in. They were good, but just too loud. During dinner, I called an online friend I hoped to meet, but we both decided that we were at the end of our proverbial rope of energy and decided that the next time I am in the Anaheim area, probably next year, we will make better plans to meet. So the rest of our party toddled off to our hotel rooms and slipped off to dream if Disney days to come. To be continued….
