Castle arches filled in?

    It's from a photoset of the work on Cinderella castle..

    Did they seriously fill in the arches on the bridge?

    Here's a pretty good picture of what it looks like from a distance. The arches in the picture wrap around the stage, making the ramps up to the bridge. They put the quasi-arches on the side so it would kind of fit in with the general look of the castle, instead of just being plain stone. Then, behind that is the actual bridge, which only has one large arch, so that the Swan Boats were able to fit under it when they were running.

    Ironically enough, if you look at the plans for FLE, we are getting that bridge put in front of Belle's Resturant/meetngreet.

    This is why I am not hating on the FL extension. Sure it may be a bunch of meet and greets that I have little interest in, but WDW will finally have some nice vistas again, something that to me really has hurt this park for so long.

    Same here. It'll look and feel phenomenal. I'm greatly anticipating getting to walk around, explore and just soaking all that in.

    It's just a shame it's following the Disney Way of all style and no substance.

    To me DLP wins hands down when it comes to Castles. Especially at Christmas time.

    If they had a Mr. Toad meet, and greet, I know at least one of your daughters would be all over it.

    They can take or leave meet and greets. If it is a walk up, they like them, but they do not feel the urge to queue for them, maybe because they have a fair amount of Disney park experience. In fact they moaned at me when I wanted to queue to meet Jack and Sally - lol.

    But they like them at meals or in the hotels, where there are less crowds (though Jess is wary of some of the villains). The human ones (e.g. princesses) don't seem to impress them at all.
