They change their menus seasonally, and the next menu is supposed to be put in place in the first or second week of October. Short ribs aren't always on the menu, so we won't know until the next menu comes out. I'm having dinner there on October 31, so if I don't find out earlier, I'll know then what's on the new menu. Maybe there'll be something else on the menu that would go well with mac and cheese! Oh, and if you're inclined, we have in the past ordered the kids' mac and cheese basically as a side order and split it among 4 or 5 people as an extra side dish. /cs

However, if you're interested, I still think it would work, substituting half an order or so of the kid's mac and cheese for the polenta that comes with the dish. I think the wild mushrooms and braising jus would still go well with the mac and cheese under the short ribs. You can ask to see if they'll do this for you, but make sure they understand you want the mac and cheese plated underneath the short ribs. I'll probably be having the short ribs on one of my visits, but I'll be having it as on the menu since I love polenta. And no, I haven't decided yet what I'm having on the 31st.
