My question is this -- I have been corrected by more than one AK CM that the mountain in AK is NOT Everest. The attraction itself is called "Expedition Everest," but the mountain that you visit and that the Yeti lives in is called the "Forbidden Mountain." And you are visiting that mountain on your way TO Everest. (and of course you never get there) These billboards seem to drive home the message that the AK Mountain is named Everest. The word "Forbidden" doesn't show up on them anywhere. Am I missing something?

I am sadden to hear that there is talk of putting in a new roller coaster. I just visited the Disney website and did not see anything about the reconstruction of the ride. "Goofy" as I may seem, I hope they don't change it.

Engineering surveys of SSE's structures showed that it's construction was such that it couldn't simply be emptied out for refitting as another attraction. SSE was designed and is built to hold the attraction it does. As a result, plans were shelved and the existing ride given new life. There are rumors now about Siemen's new sponsorship of SSE and possible upgrades as a result. But nothing dramatic.
