Goofy's has lots of character interaction. Every half hour or so all the kids can join the characters for the Marcarena.

The buffet has a *huge* variety of breakfast and lunch foods. I have only dined there for the breakfast/lunch character meal. This fills us up and is much less expensive than dinner.

Some people don't care for Storytellers because its a little quieter than Goofy's and the buffet is not as expansive. However, I enjoy the food and the more quiet atmosphere.

If it's a first time for you and your kids my vote would be Goofy's.

This time we went to Goofys since so many people recomend it. We didnt enjoy it. There were not very many characters. They all seemed a bit tired when we were there- the interaction was really lacking. And the food was ok, but not really any better then at the plaza.

The princesses are at Califoria Adventure at Ariel's. I've eaten there when in was Mickey and friends and the food was good. Not tons of choice (you order off the menu), but the quality and quantity of food was worth money and character fun.

They had problems with overcrowding, people not staying at their tables to wait their turn for the princesses, etc. It shouldnt be a problem with the current characters (Minnie and friends). Because you have to wait for someone to plate your food, not like a normal buffet where you serve yourself, it does take a bit longer to get food then Goofys- but not any longer then a place with menus and table service.

Minnie and Friends at Plaza Inn (Minnie, Capt. Hook, Tigger, Pooh, Eeyore, Fairy Godmother, Chip 'n' Dale)

No problems with crowds. Every kid got plenty of unhurried interaction with all the characters. Food service (table service at Ariel's Grotto, Buffeteria at Plaza) was fine.

Having only been to one, I really shouldn't vote, but I will say that I'd gladly go to Goofy's Kitchen again. :)

BTW i'm now an AP so I'd like to see just what my options are if I'm not staying at the hotel and not buying special packages.

You should try to make priority seating arrangments if you know what day you want to go. If you dont have PS, you might wait a 1+ hours, or may not get in at all.

You wont be able to get in to the park for an early AM reservation if you dont have EE. So, I would make it at park opening or shortly after. If they let people in for a meal, it would be to easy to abuse the system, not eat, and just go on rides. On days that they dont offer EE, you can get in a bit before "opening" time.
