I like the Grand Floridian because of the "face characters" that are there and it will be when the Christmas decorations are up. Which do you prefer?

No need to overwhelm them with a fleet of characters each morning of their vacation. If you've settled on doing multiple character breakfasts, there might be some value in not doing them back-to-back

If you've settled on doing multiple character breakfasts, there might be some value in not doing them back-to-back>> When my daughter was eleven we booked two character breakfasts. The first was at Chef Mickey's. It had all of her favorite characters and my daughter enjoyed the informal atmosphere and the buffet style (wide selection for a picky eater). She really enjoyed the experience and we got some great photos. A couple of days later we went to breakfast with Cindy in the Castle. My daughter HATED it. First of all, the only time available when we booked was very early in the morning. My daughter was half-asleep while there and not in a good mood. To her the face characters were just not as believable as the characters at Chef Mickeys. I agreed. Somehow with the face characters the voice and mannerisms really are never what you expect. Finally, she didn't like the reduced selection of food available in the "served at your table" breakfast. We took just one photo, and my daughter looked so grumpy in it we certainly never shared it with anyone.

If you book 1900 Park Fair, you have to take the boat or monorail there and back to Magic Kingdom (unless you are staying there). Crystal Palace gets pretty loud. I'd suggest you do a late breakfast there (just before they change over to lunch). There is a lull then and it is a little quieter and many fewer people. They will give you any food you need so don't worry about it running out or anything. In the past we've done lunch and dinner at Crystal Palace and it was LOUD and CROWDED and I vowed never to go there again but last time we had an extra meal we had to use so I booked there for Breakfast and it was enjoyable--I'd do it again. 1900 Park Fair the characters are very fun and the face characters interact very nicely. 1900 Park Fair is a must do for my family every time (we usually do it twice per trip) so I prefer it but you can't really lose with either one!
I have done both & would pick 1900!! The face character interaction is great & my nephew danced with Cinderella!!
I've 1900 many times (though not for breakfast). I love it. The food is good and having face characters is great. I've also done Crystal Palace, and really the only advantage it has is it's in the park. I think 1900 beats it in every other way. Well, the breakfast lasagna at Crystal Palace is pretty cool, too. I'm not sure it's good, but it's a over-the-top sweet mess that I really hope to have again someday.
