Originally Posted By katew449 I worked at disney world since 2003 and we went to the taping in 2003...its advertised that you need tickets but you don't, i think we got there at 7am and stood in front of the confectionary on main street which happened to be right next to where the performers stood when they were off camera. we went to all 3 days of taping and we made shirts that said we loved regis and kelly and they came to talk to us becuase we were the only ones who made shirts and we made friends with the people who were "crowd control" and they put us behind regis and kelly in the opening "welcome to the parade" speil. i just wanted to let you know what we did so maybe you guys can be as lucky as we were...we STILL talk about it and still cant believe we met them because of stupid shirts we painted the night before! definately plan to make a morning out of it if you decide to go. its a lot of cut...do it again type things. and its mostly watching the performers do their act rather than the floats and mickey. we got kinda frustrated because it took them from 9-2 to film probably an hour of the parade...but it was definately something we are soooo glad we did

As I understand it, all places have been filled, which means that us folks who aren't on the list will be shuttled to other areas of the park. I don't know if there will be anywhere that we can line up to catch a glimpse. But if it's like the 25th ceremony in the MK, there ain't no way you're gonna see the real thing. I'm not that concerned about seeing the parade. But I am concerned with all of the stuff involved with a taping getting in the way of my fun that Saturday. Maybe everyone'll be all tied up around the parade routes, and there'll be 5 minute lines everywhere!!!

They said they brought one float out and it just sat for 30 minutes. Then they moved it ... then it came back. Filmed it from every conceivable angle, Then another. B-O-R-I-N-G. Now it used to be fun back in the good, old days when they filmed live at WDW on Christmas morning.

What I don't know is if there will be any room at all for just us folks, or if the entire parade viewing area is taken up with this arrangement. I don't mind viewing a parade as it passes by. But I don't relish blowing half a vacation day standing around while they do take after take. Hey, I can do that when I'm NOT on vacation!
