But on the back end? Are they trying to push Christmas all the way to Valentines?

Also...please note that in Orlando, due to the huge hispanic population, Xmas ornaments and trees stay up until around the 8th of the month..after their Three Kings Day celebration and what they referred to as "Octavitas", meaning "the 8th (of january)" in which some hispanic cultures theme the last possible day to celebrate the season with traditional xmas music and surprise family and friends with impromptu xmas parties, called "asaltos", in which people show up at your place unannounced and basically start a party in seconds.

I'm from the upper midwest, and we don't get much in the way of Hispanic celebrations there. (yet) Of course, that works in the reverse direction. I bet most Hispanics don't know much about midwestern Lutheran traditions.
