It's too long ago to be absolutely certain, but, seing the version of it that aired on Vault Disney on the Disney Channel years ago, (just the forward moving screen was shown), it pretty much is what I remember seeing at both DL and MK many years ago. The soundtrack on the new 50th DL CD collection seems to be the same as well.

As for American Journeys, I have no clue. I never got to see this Circlevision movie at either park.

I know that IMAX has the huge size that practically takes up your entire field of vision, but that is only if you are looking forward. It is too easy to hide stuff in the shots. With CV, it is impossible to hide anything, which really shows off the beauty (or lack there of) of the place on the screen. It is also much more fun IMO to be able to look which ever way you want, instead of being restricted to only one direction. Also, the moving shots in CV seem to give off the feeling of movement much better than IMAX, but that isn't really the point of either.
