I hope the exec who made that decision has lost a TON of money on his stock holdings.

I posted the story then, and was told that was an acceptable business practice. I took the same position you have, and was told I was overreacting.

Every one of them. The district goes on for blocks and blocks in every direction. Who needs Circuit City?

They tried to move into California when another company went out of business, but Best Buy bought those locations to keep HHGregg out. Also, HHGregg has virtually no debt. They use their profits to build new stores and are still on track to open 20 new stores next year. After Circuit City and eventually Best Buy are gone, HHGregg will still be around.

During Christmas the BB was so crowded that they banned any left turns coming out of there. The CC you would be in and out. BB bought some land behind them and they expanded their parking lot so there's another quicker way to get to the mall.
