It amazes me they went to *that* much trouble rather than just use the original source tracks themselves...

Disney's been burned by stuff like this quite a few times. Most famous (and expensive) examples: <a href="http://www.peggylee.com/library/910219.html" target="_blank">http://www.peggylee.com/librar...219.html</a> <a href="http://www.animatedbuzz.com/WB/22.html" target="_blank">http://www.animatedbuzz.com/WB/22.html</a>

I have all the old editions. Most of the current souvenir park videos are pathetic. But, sadly, I have a feeling our hopes are in vain. The people in charge of park souvenir merchandise right now just don't get it. So, we have to rely on fan made DVD's. That's where my money goes. But, they can be hit or miss. I just purchased some fan made Disneyland and WDW DVD mega sets that I found disappointing and unwatchable. They were not very well organized. The sequences jumped all over the place randomly around the parks instead of following a logical "tour". And, way too much panning and zooming in and out, the folly that too many amateur videomakers fall prey to.
