Ebay nor PayPal were of any help at all. Dreams dashed. But he went way overboard and made application for membership, that was 16 months ago! We made it onto the official list after 12 months, now we wait for someone to leave membership. They won't even tell us how far down the list we are! We are from PDX also. I would suggest calling Vacation Planning if you are staying at one of the Disney properties, at 714-300-Plan, Option 2, they would be able to help you set something special up if you can't get the Club 33 worked out. Maybe you could propose on the landing at IASW and the CM could offer congratulations on the loud speaker to bring the crowd into it. Or maybe you two could be in the guest part of the parade one day, or lots of other ideas. I will be there June 4-7 celebrating a girlfriend's birthday (no husbands this trip!), if dates coincide and I can be of any help, happy to do so. One additional problem is WHEN are you going, as Club 33 is closed as well as Blue Bayou, pending the re-opening of Pirates, end of June. Congratulations, on graduation as well as the pending suprise!

But they are now doing weddings at Grand Californian and DLHotel so you might keep that in mind. You could happen upon one of the outdoor weddings and pop the question. You could also ask to sit in the front of the Monorail for a trip around the park, although may not be guaranteed to be alone there either. There is a staircase towards the back of New Orleans Square for a quiet moment, or the patio up in the Gallery. Or by Snow White's wishing well, or the opposite side of the castle in front where the swans usually are, there is little bridge that leads over to Frontierland. Or stand in line to see and get a picture with her favorite character, then get down on you knee and propose. Or, they have the roving cameras now, you could stand in line at the entrance and have a professional photo taken of you in front of the 50th Mickey floral/train station, with you on bended knee. Then you might not be nervous the rest of the trip and you'll have a great photo!

There are other options at the resort that would be memorable. If you are staying at one of the resorts you could consider a private meal and propose there. Suggestions include the Rose Court Garden (aka wedding gazebo at the DLH) if there are no weddings going on. Or the stage at the Wedding Garden at the GCH (if there are no weddings going on). There is also an area on the 5th floor at the GCH that you could do this. An intimate dinner is always nice and a romantic thing to do.
