That includes a parkhopper (automatic, it can not be backed out). Typically, lunch is the price of a one day parkhopper. So, if you don't have an AP, it's basically free lunch! If you have an AP, it's a very nice, expensive lunch.

You see fan groups scheduling lunches and putting pictures all over the web ... it just seems like it was only a matter of time before the quality dropped. I personally will wind up at Napa Rose myself. It's one of the finest resturants in Orange County ... heck, Southern California and I don't need to spend $15,000 (or whatever it is on a membership after waiting for someone to die after years on a list) when I can just drop into Napa or make a ressie on a busy night.

What's the reason for the drop in food quality in the rest of the park? AP holders?

Sure, more people know about the place than in the old days. But what does that have to do with the quality of the food or the service? I'm hoping to get in on my uncle's company's membership next summer, so I guess I'm one of those who is weaseling my way in. and I'll enjoy every freakin' second of it!

A helluva lot more folks know Club 33 exists now than they did 20 years ago. Much of it is from the Internet. I've never been myself, but friends have told me that it isn't what it once was. Hope you enjoy yourself, but I'm more than satisfied with Napa Rose myself.

So with your theory the Napa Rose should be on it's way down!!
Originally Posted By danyoung >Sometimes when places that were 'best kept' secrets become out there ... the quality suffers.< I don't disagree with that basic thesis, but I don't think it applies to Club 33. They've ALWAYS been sold out, always had a waiting list for membership. All the recent popularity has done is make the wait list much longer - it's had no impact on the crowd at lunch or dinner. I have no info on quality, current or past, but I'd guess that if it has decreased in quality, it's due to the same silly folks who brought us a crippled 2nd park and almost allowed DL park to deteriorate past the point of recovery.

But in the last few years a lot of attention has been paid to the menu and presentation. I hope that the LP group that will be enjoying Club 33 next month will have a very special time in this very special place.

I hope you and Spirit are able (I guess willing would be a more apt word) to join in on the next LP meet at Club 33, if there ever is one in the future. Perhaps it's an individual experience that one must make a proper decision on by themselves. I promise to give an unbiased report after our experience and it will be interesting to see how it measures up to everyone else's opinion on the day. And, it may sound dorky, weird, and CHEESY (to use a Mrs ElderP vernacular), but I am counting down the days like a little girl. Tiaras, bacon, and new friends that I will be meeting for the first time....I cannot wait! xoxo
