    This isn't right...

If you don't believe me, go to their site or to www.urbandictionary.com and see for yourself.

Too bad that these CM's do not realize that without us tourists, they wouldn't be working for the mouse.

I think that is much more refined than the vulgar saying.

I'll look the CM in the face and say "you just have yourself a Disney Day too!" as a way of telling them that I didn't think they did much to contribute to mine.

Then again, like no other jobs, they may work at WDW, but somedays its just not magical. Its a job. It may be a great job but at the end of the day, the feet hurt, the back hurts and the head hurts from being yelled at over and over, over things that are NOT in your control at all.

So some CMs go to vent to people who know exactly what its like.

As far as I know, most major companies have a "work sucks, complain website" The disney one is very tame compared to some Ive seen (particularly the Walmart one)

If you dont want to know the other side of the magic, dont read, dont hang out at any of the CM hangouts after hours because they are people to, ones that most of the time keep to a stricter code and work ethic than most in America.

I agree. It's a common way to blow off steam without either lowering yourself to a miscreant's level or just exploding in an inappropriate, destructive display of anger & frustration.

    Calling it Going Postal Lite.

I sent a letter to Guest Relations about how great he was, I just hope he gets recognized for his excellent job. Sorry for temporarily highjacking this thread.

    That is absolutely true, gaston.

    It is a well-known fact.

And I admit I have used it myself right back at certain CMs who have given me subpar service (like a manager at AKL's The Mara in December) ... and even on this site from time to time.

Honestly, if someone is ugly enough to be rude to a CM, they're probably to wrapped up in thir world to realize that the CM is "insulting" them by being nice.

I said this was a non-issue post because gaston also posted complaining about the fact that the Spanish instructions were given before the English on one of the attractions. I don't think this is news - my mom has always told me when someone was being rude to "kill them with kindness", as I'm sure many of the posters on this board have also been taught.
