We stopped in two or three different areas on the way up. One was Ely, one was Jackpot and the other I can't remember (if there was a third). Ely was absolutely freezing. Jackpot was pretty darn cold too. When we got to Idaho, it was after 7 or 8pm. We sat down at a restaurant. Took a look outside the window once we got in. Part of the restaurant sign outside was a huge digital thermometer (?). It said 25° or just below it or above it. Out here, a year ago, it got around to the 50s, I don't think it hit the 40s though. But, I recall very early this year taking a trip to Murrieta, and around probably 9am I was walking along the sidewalk and there was ice on the grass. Even some ice on the sidewalk. And in Temecula on one Sunday morning I remember for church, theres this little statue fountain outside. And the water bowl had some thin ice at the top. But at the end of service, we usually would take the hot pot of coffee and pour it out in the restroom sink. Well, this time, we decided to pour it out into the icy water bowl of the fountain

I says, "Was this before or after she found the bottle of whiskey?" She was explaining to me how folks adapt to really cold weather, how their blood thickens. Hope you find a way to keep warm though! Hot cocoa maybe?
