At the DLH, be sure to request a room that is on the same floor as the lounge, as then you will have a special elevator that will take you straight to your floor.

I find concierge to be more worth it if you are there during peak hours (sounds like you will be) because then you will most likely be able to take advantage of the 5-8 o'clock hot appetizers and wine.

In the morning, I find it very easy and nice to get breakfast in the lounge, even though it is a bit minimal. Yogurt, cereal, muffins, pastries, coffee, bagels, cream cheese, fruit, etc. No hot breakfast items are available. But it sure is nice to walk down the hall, fill up a few plates and wake up the husband, or bring him down there.

You can take drinks from the lounge with you into the park, although now I'm not sure if they will let you in with the glass bottles. I usually end up bringing my own sparkling water because I am crazy.
But they have cute to go cups for their coffee, and that's a great plus in the morning. We usually grab a few extra pastries and bring them with us for a mid morning snack. (I make sure to pack those disposable zip-lock containers, or zip-lock bags for them.)

Lunch is minimal at the DLH. Pre-made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, cheese and crackers, and a fruit plate are about all I can remember, besides the soft drinks, bottled water, coffee and tea that are there all day. I find it nice to make lunch (or a late breakfast) our big meal out for the day, then, come back to the room and nap.

If you are there with extended hours, there is usually one hot appetizer that is pretty good, wine, beer, and I think cookies as well as the ubiquitous cheese tray and fruit platter from 5-8. To be clear, these things are always there from 5-8, but it's easier to take advantage of them if the park is open late.

In the late evening, they have desserts, which are great, and if the fireworks are on, you can watch them from the lounge with the sound piped in. I have never done that, and was looking forward to it in September, but we have moved our trip to December.

The more people you have per room, the better the deal. I don't know if this is actually true, but I have had better luck getting my room early and having anything special sent to my room when I stay concierge.

The staff at concierge is fantastic, and will help you plan all sorts of surprises. You can pay for baskets, or ask for free signed photos a favorite character. They will also make PS reservations for you.

If you have kids, I think there is storytelling at night, but I don't, so someone else might know more about that.

I can't stress enough how much the "special elevator" helped us get away from the crowds. If you've ever stood in line waiting to get in to a packed DLH elevator, you will appreciate how nice it is to be whisked by a private elevator right to your floor.

That's all I can think of for now, have fun planning!
