The Pirate takeover of Tom Sawyer makes more sense to me for Disneyland, since it faces the Pirates ride.

Now I suggest you go back and reread my post, and please explain to me how a pirate themed island will fit in with a Mississippi or Missouri like Riverboat and a direct view of Frontierland. I am not discussing the merits of classical American literature, I am discussing the continuity of a classical American theme park. If the Pirates Lair was based on River Pirates I could see it fitting in. I do not see a Jonny Depp like pirate fitting in at all. That is just my humble opinion.

I just feel bad that Disney can not come up with something more original to do with their themed parks but to sell sell sell sell the same old tired themes they are showing in the cineplex down the street. Reason why I too am ticked off by TDL's POTC going Sparrow on us.
