Less set decorations to deal with between shows. And let's face it, with today's computer techology, once reprogrammed, it would be very easy to swap between shows. Only the "enchanted fountain" and the Zazu & Iago figures would need to be altered/added/removed.

Disney thought it could make big bucks off of the death of a super star. It worked in some places (one of which isn't Florida). An old Tiki Room isn't going to make Disney money.
