Allegedly there has been some talk of reprograming the attraction to it's original version to soak up crowds for spring break and the summer (and possibly extending it through the 40th if crowds like it)

Personally, I like the first option better of, even temporarily, bringing back the original show for the 40th anniversary. But given the possible alternative of closing the attraction permanantly, I'd deal with a new Iago returning, too. Either way, at least it sounds as if they intend on keeping the Tiki Room!

Less set decorations to deal with between shows. And let's face it, with today's computer techology, once reprogrammed, it would be very easy to swap between shows. Only the "enchanted fountain" and the Zazu & Iago figures would need to be altered/added/removed.

Stranger things have happened. It's a easy job... those AA's are very basic.

If you think Captain EO was brought back for some retro-kick, you haven't been paying attention. Disney thought it could make big bucks off of the death of a super star. It worked in some places (one of which isn't Florida).

An old Tiki Room isn't going to make Disney money.

I would love to see the original Tiki Room come back over the "Under New Management" show. But I think I'd prefer an entirely new show which respects the original without adding Toons to it (like Iago, Zazu, or Stitch).

Yup. And it really packs the people in, doesn't it?

    Brand new show. No birds.

    Do something new, WDI.

Of course I know UNM is coming back, so all that is for naught.

Not drastically, but nothing is clear.
