crowds in late September

    As soon as i hit the submit button, i remembered that crowds may be bigger this year cuz of the end of the 50th anniv. stuff, people getting one last look at the fireworks, seeing the decor 1 last time, etc. I wouldn't be surprised to see a summer crowd for the last night of fireworks.

    The e-mail that I received from DL about the ending date of the 50th anniversary celebration said that golden 50th decorations will be removed at the end of September but that the fireworks and parades will remain for a "short time" after that. So, apparently these will continue for a time into October. We will be going to DL during the second week of September and I too am wondering if it will be really crowded that last month due to the ending of the 50th. Hopefully, it won't be too bad since it will still be fairly early in the month.
