At first I thought I wouldn't like it (I had almost always stayed at Hojos, previously) but I get rates that can't be beat by booking this way. And I have never been disappointed with hotel's I've gotten.

We used Priceline and the clerk gave us the top floor (executive level) and it was very nice. The walls are thin for a "resort". Luckily, it didn't seem to be too busy. Twice we heard loud male guest voices through the door and could hear everything they were saying. Early in the morning DH heard the splash mountain effect of a male. That was about it. We had room 920. Bed wasn't as nice as HoJo's or the DoubleTree, but it was good enough. Do not open the fridge with the computer thing. You will get charged even if you don't take anything. The executive level does have in-room fridges. If you want to use a laptop on the bed, bring a long cable. The cable they provide is only long enough for the desk. There are nice restaurants right nearby and Target across the street. Parking is extremely limited (3 hotels share the parking lot). Have fun in July!

Check on biddingfortravel.com to be sure. Then, you make sure you have your dates in correctly. Then double-check them. Then, bid $18 on the 1-star (or whatever level it is) and you have to agree to buy the hotel they give you. You must put in your name and credit card. They do walk you through it and it isn't hard. Then you wait and it tells you if you won or not. If you don't win, you can try to do free-rebids (again read up on biddingfortravel.com) or try again 24 hours later and try for $20 or so. You say it is for this weekend. A holiday weekend. They may or may not have inventory. Who knows, though, with this economy?
