    Didn't say it did.

They said there wasn't anything that they could do.

Gee Dave, I wasn't looking for a nasty comment.

BTW, it was witnessed by CM's that didn't say or do anything about it.

And from what I know about the automotive repair industry a $1,000 worth of damage on a new Lexus sounds like a scratch about 5-6 inches.

    It's too bad it happened

After you passed the lone CM on the main corrider that was it-nothin' more. Glad I didn't need help-there was none to be had.

But I did notice 5 CMs yackin it up by the little crosswalk. One easily could have crossed the few people that needed it-maybe the others could have been used to be a presence in the parking structure.

No, Dave-the right back fender squished along with a good sized dent on the side.

I wish they used the structure as originally designed as it seemed to work and flow better in the past. More CM's would help, too.

Also it seems to me that more and more and more regulars have figured out how to skip parking in a less desirable area only to weave their way to the area nearest the escalators. This can't be safe for pedestrians as there isn't a clearly marked pathway for walking. I've seen many kids dart out in-between the rows of parked cars.

I'm surprised there are not more accidents. Sorry about the car, kozy.

Of course not. But I'd bet that if you were a Cast Member who was loading a keepsake you found being thrown in the trash into the back of that same car, THEN the cameras would be of use to fire you.

Again, tell them what happened and tell them how the Guest Relations and Security Guest Services Cast Members handled the situation.

If THEY cannot help you, I'm not sure where to go. It is not right that someone can get away with that, especially in a place so covered with (the ever vigilant) security.

That said, cars are not only damaged but stolen from the Resort on a fairly regular basis, just like from many other large venues and from the community in general. Unfortunately it does happen. While working with Parking Operations we encountered Guests with damage to their vehicles or who ended up having their vehicles stolen. The cameras do cover most areas of the structure but they aren't perfect and it's possible that this incident was never seen on camera, nor was it recorded. Calling Guest Relations may make the Guest feel better but Disneyland is not responsible for damage to cars in the structure unless it is caused by a Disney vehicle. Other than that it is up to the Guest who damages a car to leave a note, per California state law. Calling Guest Communications to voice your concerns over CM's grouping and not paying attention is certainly valid and I'd probably do the same thing. Calling Legal will probably not lead to anything besides being told that there is nothing that can be done if the Guest who hit the car did not leave a note. Guests whose cars are stolen are referred to APD to make a report and a report is also taken by the Resort. I assume that there was some documentation of the incident by the Resort Security Dept.? If not, there probably should have been. However, it is still the responsibility of the Guest who caused the damage and Disneyland is not liable for the damages even with the cameras in the structure. It is a horrible situation and it's even worse when it happens in a place designed to make people happy (The Resort I mean, not the structure). I am so sorry this happened to your brother-in-law. The Guest who hit his car is one of those people who just don't know how to take responsibility for their own actions.

The security cameras are there to prevent crimes, increase safety, etc. There was a crime committed here, hit and run (aka leaving the scene of an accident). So Disney could be compelled to review the tapes and produce any relevant documents. I’d like to think they would do so at a guest’s request without getting lawyers involved. I do think Disney would be right to request a police report number however, to make sure this is a legitimate use of its resources.

If someone working undercover security is following a Guest then they will tape inside the locations where the Guest is being followed. In the structure there are many, many cameras that aren't continuously recorded although they are able to be monitored at any time.

It just seems like things like this shouldn't happen at Disneyland but they do.

I personally have been appalled by the lack of CM's in the parking structure lately. It used to be vertually impossible to go the wrong way or cut someone off because there were so many personnel guiding cars in. Lately we have taken to walking in even though we have free parking.
