I also hated that boring Tom Hanks Fed Ex commercial.

I'm sure there will be disagreements about this choice, but man, I couldn't make it past 10 minutes of that movie. Ugh.

By comparison I mean that the first time I saw it I had consumed a hefty amount of Bacardi. I was in London and a group of us piled into a cab (I was seated backwards) and the ride alone was probably the most hilarious of any experience I had ever had. Anyway, the theater had big plush seats and smoking was allowed right there at your seat. (I was a smoker back then) I watched the movie through tear filled eyes because everything I saw was perhaps the funniest thing I had ever seen. Later, when I returned to the states I raved about the movie and took some friends to see it. I was sober and it sucked. Hated it, hardly even smiled. Couldn't understand what I felt was even amusing much less hilarious. No telling what can influence humor.
