Then start using the Hyperion for things other than Aladdin (or another show for the park guests). Host things like Movie Premieres and Private events in the evening hours, and allow folks to block off the nearby area for after-parties. 2. Get rid of the Paradise Pier area, including the lake. Totally re-do the area, to add structures and buildings to block out views of the outside world. Place some high quality "E" ticket family friendly dark rides in those buildings. Maybe add a new amphitheater to host shows and music events. 3. Get rid of the farm area, and build out the area. 4. Redo the Route 66/San Francisco area, including getting rid of Golden Dreams. Add an atraction based on a simulator (like Star Tours). 5. Totally redo the Grizzly River area, including GRR. Add AA's and a building over the lift hill to block out the outside world. 6. Add a bunch of shade structures throughout the park, including more mature trees. 7. Add some good stuff in the Timon Parking Lot.

As for Paradise Pier, I'd like to see that removed. But since its not, how about absolutely redoing major portions of it and adding detail and quality themeing throughtout the area. And lets reduce its size to no further than from one end of California Screamin to the other. Rid the area of games, make it sparkle day and night. Give it an older more effective "old" California beatiful Seaside park that(like MGM) never was and always will be. And build some excellent emersing dark rides on the Pier. I would want to see more energy than I've ever seen on that Pier day and night. I'd have detailed iron work, vineing plants, flowers, wood everywhere, with smells of candy and food. I'm talking detail like New Orleans Square or MGM's Hollywood Blv. And of course redoing the Pier adequetely obviously means selling Maliboomer, Mulhollund Madness, and Possible re-doing and re-locating Zepher and the swings out of the orange. If the Sun Wheel is to stay, it must be spruced up. Redoing almost the entire ride. I'd also like to see PPHotel removed, but since thats not likely to happen, atleast you wouldnt be able to see it from what I'd have in the new route 66 area.

I love the feel of that area. I would like to see more intimate spaces in the park that immerse me, trigger my emotions and engages my sense of "play". The park environment's - for me - are like interactive theater. I want more "sets" and "stories" ------------------- Physically what would I do ? - Fix all the sightlines so I don't have the visual intrusions from the outside world. - Either bull doze Paradise Pier or make it feel like the boardwalk area at Walt Disney World. - The entrance does feel stark - Bring back EUREKA! or something else that doesn't hold up cardboard signs to tell me to scream. I felt insulted and duped. EUREKA was as well done as Tapestry of Nations at EPOCT.

Golden Dreams is one of my favorite attractions, but I think it suffers because the area immediately surrounding it has absolutely no character. In addition, the show is in desperate need of a pre-show area. All in all this section of the park appears to be where budgets were slashed the most. One other thing the park needs is an unrestrained Disney extravaganza on the level of Pirates, or Spaceship Earth. In terms of theming, Pacific Wharf might be a good location for something along these lines. Finally, I wish they would reinforce the "magic" of California theme, and avoid relying on character and movie based themes for new attractions and shows. A little here and there is fine, but I am troubled by the transformation of DCA into a sort of Pixarland.

Replace all those 'California' pop songs that currently play there. - Add a lobby to the Hyperion so that when you're waiting to go in to the theatre, you're not standing out in the elements.

Add a virtual reality ride (in Vegas there is an Atlantis attractiion at Ceasear's Palace) based on Aladdin's Magic Carpet Ride. I like the Rock and Roll coaster featuring Aerosmith!

We also hate walking around the park wet on chilly days, not to mention going into air-conditioned buildings for shows all wet.
