That timeframe had the cheapest hotel rates when I was looking a few weeks ago which usually means they aren't busy and are trying to sell more rooms. They may have booked up more now. We are staying at the Carousel Inn and when I called to verify my reservation last week. They still had rooms available.

I'd guess it will be noticeably more crowded than last year, but hopefully not *too* bad! Try to get there early each day, even yesterday (Sunday) morning we were able to get a lot of rides in, then shopped and relaxed in the afternoon.

Hubby and I got there at around 1:30 Friday afternoon, and we rode all of the E-tickets, had two meals and saw fireworks before closing. The only fastpass we used that evening was for Space. Saturday and Sunday were pretty packed, but again, manageable, even though it was Candlelight (beautiful, by the way!) Attendance dropped off significantly on Monday and Tuesday.

I am predicting big crowds for Sat. I would even go as far as saying that at about 4PM (if not earlier) Mickey and Friend's is going to have to close because it will be full. We did expect the crowds to be a lot smaller since these were weekdays. We found that there was a lot of people in the park walking around and it was difficult to move from one land to another quickly, especially during any of the parades or fireworks and the taping of the ABC Christmas special. However, the surprising thing was that the lines for rides were not long. For all you fortunate people who can attend Disneyland often, is this usual?
