I'm ashamed to say I wrote the entire thing in one draft and one quick re-write while consuming two donuts and two cups of coffee - all told just under an hour (I eat slow.) There are some rather painful rhymes, and it doesn't always scan as it should, but it was fun to do. Had I had a less insane Holiday schedule I'd have started it a week sooner and there would have been 12 - as in the 12 days of Christmas. Maybe next year.
