Another new cart in Downtown Disney, this time a Magic Shop near the World of Disney

A look down Main Street from the Double Decker Bus

Sub Lagoon work, lots of workers, with just over a week to finish up the area in front of the attraction, to allow access to the Monorail station.

One of the subs will be named "Marin", or maybe Marine

Midway Mania work, more of the old Strips Dips and Chips building has been removed.

The Snowglobe in front of the Castle

New turnstile facades (map holders) are being tested (one each at Disneyland and DCA)

And lots of Candlelight Processional photos

*I find myself liking the new blue and white tommorowland colour scheme more and more. However I will say almost everything Mary Blair did I like. :)
*I like the brightness, it makes it feel more futuristic, less organic/drab. (This being said by someone who can smell manure during the spring and summer from his front stoop)
    * I like construction walls - at least when it means either something is being added or improved (although sometimes it means removed). DCA reminds me why I like being close to Dorney, Wonderland, a certain park in Ohio, Darien Lake... But it still lacks the charm of Disneyland. (That being said I don't hate DCA, I just wish it was more like it's older brother).

I have question: What are they currently doing with the Autopia exit ramp and/or what does it seem like the will be doing with it? I figured that they would just switch it back near where the water fountains were, but I haven't seen anything recently.

    Thanks!

They make a pretty large wall that makes it easy for the CM's to get lost behind. The ones in DCA also suffer from that problem, but more importantly, they're just plain ugly. They look like they belong in the queue for Star Tours, as they just have that late 80's futuristic essence to them. Although the Sun Plaza may not have a real distinct theme, it is certainly not the same theme that the brochure holder has.

Wrong thread but on the subject of design. The only thing that differentiates the Mickey penthouse from a tract home development model is perhaps the sprinkling of LED lighting! The design (or lack of) is a good example of the fundamental lack of passion, the repugnant byproduct of bottom line management!

In the long run they are diluting their own profit potential just to keep the quarterly numbers up!

One of the other effects that has been lost was the programmed synchonization of the two neon spires at the entrance of TL. Sometimes they do their program - sometimes they are just solid on, and most of the time they are never in sync. Another nice little detailed lost in the first few months of TL.

And more related to the monorail - Word on the street is that the opening may be delayed.

Was it June 00, when the new Autopia opened? I remember being in DL but not being able to ride because it was for celebrities or something or other. (The pre LP days, when I didn't know what an AP was :p)
