My family thought the Disney Aulani for next year's holidays would be better than the same old same old around the Xmas tree. I am in shock at those prices for Hawaii but then considered DL instead. I am finding the Grand Californian and the new Aulani both in the same outrageous price range. Understandable for Hawaii but California with no beachfront???
Apparently the Disney land Hotels have no problems with occupancy.

We just need to stop the insanity by not going anymore.

Yes, Disney Deluxe hotels are outrageously priced. Without DVC points I would never stay anywhere but the Value and Moderates at WDW or on Harbor Blvd at Disneyland Resort. Those prices are actually LESS than what WDW charges during peak season for the Monorail Resorts.

    Welcome to the "Big Leagues".

Sometimes you just have to splurge if a family member has health conditions or small children that should really be back in their room by 8 or 9 but want to experience some of the night-time Disney magic.
I guess it just depends on your family priorities.
But it has gotten to be very expensive.

If you buy your tickets at disneyland.com, they will allow you one early entry into the park. So you can just buy tickets and still get at least at least one early entry into parks.

PP Hotel as low as $240 per night.

DL Hotel as low as $305 per night.

GC as low as $374 per night.

Still way out of my price range currently, but it's more along the lines with the traditional, per-elevated rates you may be use to paying.

Are restaurants close by. From fast food to high end restaurants for every taste.

Can you tell that I love, S Harbor Blvd, for my Disneyland trips?? My whole Disney trip costs under $2500.00 for everything!
