Gummi Bears, Ducktales, Rescue Rangers, and Tale Spin. Then Gummi Bears was the first show to get bumped when Darkwing Duck premiered. I remember the "Disney Afternoon Live" event at Disneyland with "Afternoon Avenue". The Gummi Bears were part of that, and the Motorboat Cruise got a Gummi Glenn overlay.

By the time 2nd semester started, the Disney Afternoon was a ritual. Half of the dorms on my floor would meet in my room and watch. So much fun.

I was fascinated by the DuckTales world, especially with Magica and Flintheart (whose name I didn't know till years later). Actually, I did catch snippets of Goof Troop and Aladdin, which were good shows, and didn't pay attention to Gargoyles, Schnookums and Meat, Bonkers, Pumbaa and Timon and the others that came out towards the end. I actually watched a few episodes of Gargoyles a few years ago on ABC Family Channel and was hooked. For my birthday, CuriosWolfSo sent me a few of the 'new' Disney comic books, which included the new Gargoyles. My sister had Don Karnage sign her autograph book, as well as some of the Beagle Boys (who signed with their numbers and not their Ducktales names) and Gummi Bears. I also have the action figures of Karnage, Dumptruck, Xanatos, Demona, Megavolt, Steelbeak in my Collection of Evilâ„¢. Ducktales is represented by the Magica figurine from Panini's "That's Donald!" sticker set and the Beagle Boys Burago racecar from DLR's World of Disney store. I did find figures of Abis Mal and Haroud Hazi Bin on eBay, but I didn't bid on them; I think it was because there were other figures included that I didn't want.

And I loved that people would watch Gargoyles and say, "Wow, this is Disney???" I wish Toon Disney was a little more ambitious and did original stuff like that. And I know most people hated Shnookums and Meat, but I loved it. The actual "Shnookums and Meat" section of the show was lame and a little too much of a Ren and Stimpy rip-off, but I thought Tex Tinstar and Pith Possum were hilarious and clever. I would love to see those cartoons again.
