One suggested they may be re-packaging it into bags, but at Christmas time?. We love this stuff, any suggestions?

One of my sister's and her family will be visiting WDW in February, I'm sure I can ask her to pick up some for me if not available through the LP Store.

How can the Disney Blend be so good if the stuff they serve is so bad? Is it a different company producing ?

Yup. F&B and Merch use completely different vendors for their products. At least Joffrey's coffee on-site is slightly better. It is a shame that the Kona coffee served in the Poly can't be the standard by which coffee is offered in the parks.

I'm always surprised at the popularity of the Disney blend - particularly the flavored stuff - as it isn't a particular good vendor - not single sourced beans etc.

Is that right? I thought that the Disney Coffee brand was continuing especially as it has a host of products (particularly the flavored varieties) that Starbucks do not produce.

The Starbucks agreement isn't for exclusivity at the resorts. They opted not to even take a sponsorship opportunitiy (Official Coffee of Disney Parks).

I was thinking along the same lines as you when I first heard this from a CM last summer, so when we went in October, New Year's Eve morning and a week ago I asked the same question of different CMs. To a person, they all said the same thing. Starbucks is taking over Market House and along with it, getting an exclusive in DL. The Disney Blend coffees have been relegated to small displays in back shelves and out of the way places for months now, which first prompted my question. Each one also said buy it up now, it won't be around much longer. Last Friday, there was hardly any at the Market House. A long time CM told me this last time that many CMs would appreciate it if more people would complain at City Hall about the loss of Disney Blend. Not much anyone can do about Starbucks coming in, but at least try and save the Disney coffees. according to this CM.

I figure three different vists over a seven month period and essentially the same story, there must be something to it. If not, why marginalize the Disney Blend displays and why the same thing from CMs each time?

I guess it makes room for more discounted Vinylmation!

I can't see Starbucks espresso blend being sold outside of the Starbucks venues but maybe I'm entirely wrong.

Lee, you may have more inside info on this sort of thing, but I figured if Starbucks is happy with the in-park locations after a few years (i.e. how things are run, profit, etc), then we may see a more expansive push of their product in both resorts (such as their coffee being used in sit-down, restauraunts, noted as such on menus, ODV,etc).
