Oddly, the publisher lists it as appropriate for readers ages 4-22.

Now, if only Basil got a mention, it would be perfect.

I used my 15% coupon I got in the mail to pick me up a copy for Christmas from Santa Me.

If memory serves me right, it goes through the regular characters (ie Mickey, Minnie, Donald), and breaks down others into groups. For instance, "Farm Kin" has Clarabelle and Horace; there's also a section on the other Disney dogs, cats and mice, heroes and sidekicks.

The Villains, of course, get their own magnificent section, with some of the Villains sharing a page with each other in group sections (animals, "Mean Men"). It also lists Clayton by his full name (Cecil Clayton), interesting. The *major* Villains are in a section called "Really Evil Villains" (or something like that), and get two-page profiles: Malef, Hook, Hades, Ursula, Cruella, Evil Queen.

Some of the Villains are in other parts of the book. There's a "Touch of Magic" page that has Merlin and Mim. Lucifer, Si & Am and, sigh, the Cheshire Cat are in a "Ferocious Felines" area in the cats section.

This book gets MAJOR brownie points because there is a TWO-PAGE PROFILE ON BRER RABBIT, BRER BEAR AND BRER FOX! Holy Inspector57s, Batman!

So now this book and the new Disney A-Z are on my 'maybe' list.

Anyway, Disney Dossiers includes a lot of concept art and actual film shots. It does NOT include all of the animated films though. Fantasia and Make Mine Music are both excluded from both the book AND the index of Animated Films in the back. Odd.
