I ,for one ,never question the cost of an item. If I am willing to pay that price then it's a fair price. If I think it is too high, then I will not .
However if I pay top dollar to go to someplace like DisneyWorld then I have every right to expect them to deliver and I will always hold them to whatever they (or anyone) have promised ,If I find them lacking I will let them know.
It does make me hate them {a strong word} but I do want my moneys worth.
Any thing to add pro or con ?

Maybe we come on line to voice opinion in the hope it is picked up on, and in my case, always hopeful we will see signs of a return to glory?

I think that I get my moneys worth...I am paying for the fun, the happiness, the whole Disney experience. I feel that it is worth the price. And if I think that it is too much, then my money stays in my pocket.

The same thing goes for Disney theme parks.

I'm not stopping them from "the chance to grow." I'll be back at DL as soon as they give me sufficient reason to go.

But I think the loudest message I can send them is taking my money elsewhere. I'm not all that interested in DisneyPixarCharacterLand, and there's only so many times you can go on Pirates and Mansion before enough is enough. For me anyway.

I have to totally agree with you Dan. When I was getting ready for my WDW vacation I was posting a few things on here... questions and such. You wouldn't believe how much "You are wasting your time going" or "Just go to Disneyland" and so on I got. Well you know what, I had the time of my life and dare I say... I love WDW a whole lot more now and I've been going to Disneyland for 15 years now. If I had the choice, I'd go to WDW. I grew up there. It's my home long ago. I think it's worth every penny.

My biggest and secret fear: that current management will manipulate stockholders into selling out to a foreign interest. Not necessarily tomorrow but far far away in the future. When will current management be old enough to start thinking about retirement? It was upsetting enough when Budweiser sold out. I grew up in St.Louis. I do not want this to ever happen to Disneyland.
Actually I am still sorry Disney is not family owned. I know; an impossible old fashioned thought and Disney would not have survived. If only make believe could be real.

I think it is fine that not everyone feels the way I do, as that makes the world go round. I know die hard fans who have issues with something or another in the parks. Personally, I think that DCA is not a big enough park to afford the same entry costs as Disneyland. I would never pay that price to just go there. However, I do love going there and we usually go in at least once during a DL visit to ride our favs.

I think people are entitled to their opinions about what they like or dislike about the parks. I know people who don't really care much for the park at all, and cannot understand my joy in it. Luckily, I am with someone who shares my passion and needs no prodding to hop on over and have some fun! lol

This exact thing happened to me back in the late 80's early 90's, in the middle of the "I Hate Eisner" era. This was before Al had started Miceage, but he was very vocal on USENET. And everyone seemed to be saying that DL had gone totally downhill and wasn't worth anything anymore. Well, I had a SoCal trip scheduled, but I was kinda dreading visiting DL for the first time in a few years, thinking I was going to see nothing but peeling paint, full trashcans, and tumbleweeds rolling through Main Street. Imagine my surprise at walking under the train tracks and finding just the same ol' wonderful Disneyland that I grew up with! I'm sure if I looked hard I could have found some areas in need of paint or an overflowing trashcan or two. But when you're not looking for those things you just don't notice them in your joy at being back in the Happiest Place On Earth!

I should also say that I do appreciate the watchdog nature of those who hold Disney to a higher standard. But I think sometimes they get carried away in their negativity and get to a place where they can't see the good for all the bad. I don't deny that the bad is there, but it isn't even close to the level where it would negatively impact a visit to DL or WDW.
