Every year in Belgium there is a sand sculpture festival where they stick to a theme. This year it is Disneyland Paris and they are shaping up to look great (though still a work in motion). There are sculptures of Main Street, the Castle, Pirates of the Caribbean, Phantom Manor, Big Thunder, Space Mountain, the Nautilus, Alice's Curious Labrynth and lots of characters. Thought you might like it:

Seriously, it is amazing. I do not even have enough imagination to picture how anyone can do that...yet, there they are.

Thanks for reminding me of just how little talent I have Dave. I'm lucky to draw a straight line with a ruler. :)

It was fun trying to understand the guy speaking Flamish. It sounded so familiar, but still I only understood single words...

Didn't they have sand sculptures at Epcot for the Flower and Garden Festival this year? Though not nearly on such a grand scale.

That's the kind of art, and exhibits Epcot could use year round. I remember one year they had chalk artist outside the French pavilion. It was amazing also.
