I was very disappointed with that. Doesn't that seem even a bit morbid to anyone? He's been dead for quite some time. Celebrating the birthday/anniversary of Disneyland Park and/or Mickey's birthday would make some sense...they are both "made up" entities in a sense. For example, President's Day doesn't celebrate the dead presidents as if they are still alive, it just honors their legacy of service to their country. Aren't birthday parties meant for those that are still living and literally growing older? Just a thought.
