What books about DL do you own?

isbns.net is a useful web site for comparing book prices from different online booksellers:

This was produced by Disney Press, and looks like it might be out of print, hence the high price. If I recall correctly, I think it was only ever supposed to be available in the parks and the World of Disney stores.

You might want to try eBay.

The layout is hard on the eyes, a little manic. But it does have some trivia tidbits I wasn't aware of.
Definitely colorful, kid friendly and fun while waiting in ride queues. $12.95 is a great price and well worth it, but not $70.

It's more a history of DL, and the Challenge book is more of an interactive book while you're in the park.

ALso- you can find Then Now and Forever at the Character Warehouse stores for about $5.

Disney's California Adventure Detective, by Kendra Trahan (<a href="http://www.laughingplacestore.com/Product-11672.asp" target="_blank">http://www.laughingplacestore....1672.asp</a>)
101 Things You Never Knew About Disneyland, by Kevin Yee and Jason Schulz (<a href="http://www.laughingplacestore.com/Product-5461.asp" target="_blank">http://www.laughingplacestore....5461.asp</a>)
    Disneyland's Hidden Mickeys, by Steven M. Barrett (<a href="http://www.laughingplacestore.com/Product-13307.asp" target="_blank">http://www.laughingplacestore....3307.asp</a>)
Magic Quizdom: Disneylandia Minutiae Semper Absurda, by Kevin Yee (<a href="http://www.isbns.net/book_detail/9780972839808" target="_blank">http://www.isbns.net/book_deta...72839808</a>)

"Magic Quizdom" looks like it's out of print, but it's available fairly cheaply through Amazon Marketplace. It's a series of Disneyland trivia questions, with the answers in the back. I thought it was fun.

"101 Things" was okay, but a little thin, and I already knew a lot of the "things you never knew."

Trahan's "Detective" books and the "Hidden Mickeys" book work as supplements to a guidebook. They're broken down by land and attraction, and they tell you all sorts of things to look out for that you might not notice otherwise.

The only books on disneyland that I strongly recommend are the Mouse Tale books by David Koenig which mixes history and trivia into one very funny book.

Sadly, "official" books often are no better...
