The Monorail will be down for a long refurb, so you will more than likely have to walk to the Main Gate.

They have been testing giving Early Entry to Hotel Guests, but not sure if it will be offered in 2006. But you can get one Early Entry just by buying your ParkHoppers in advance (3 days or more), either seperately, or as part of a package, no matter where you stay.

Go to TripAdvisor and read some of the reviews, and compare the pricing

As you can see, many folks like HoJo's, in fact, they advertise here at LP, and give readers a special discount...

You might be able to have early entry each day its offered, but as Darkbeer stated, its to soon to know.

    The pool there is awsome!

I think you have to stay a minimum of three nights also? That being said, you can stay at HoJo's for one half to one third of the Disney hotel price. For a long vacation (e.g. a week) it gets pretty pricey. On the other hand, if it is just three days, it might be worth it just to maximize your time. Or, be prepared to switch hotels part way through your vacation.

Anything else is just "atmosphere", I think, no real tangibles, from the research I did before booking.

I have only paid close to full price once at a Disney hotel, and thats when we booked a suite with concierge for a special occassion. We got 10% off for having an annual pass, but I usually get rates for regular rooms around $120. Usually I book with AP Night rates, but there are other ways to get a great rate; Expedia often has buy 3 nights, get one free. They also will have big discounts on Disney hotels rooms 7-10 days before the date if they haven't sold them yet. So a last minute deal is possible. Also, sometimes Disney has ads in local papers for great promotional rates. I got one of those rates once from central reservations during Easter break. I asked for any promotional rate, and she was able to find a special offer code from a newspaper ad from San Diego.
Seniors 60 and over get 30% off, so if anyone in your group is a senior, have them put the reservation in their name.

You could always book a reliable place like HoJo's, then cancel it if you find a great rate at DLH later. That way you have a great place either way.

I don't think that you can stand at, say for instance, HMH, and get as many passes as is possible-endlessly.

Another perk is the abliity to have vacation planing make all your ressies. They are great at getting the hard to get ressies, like the balcony for F!. You also recieve an iteneriery upon arrival with any tickets you need, so you don't have to waste time picking them up.

The above two perks apply to all three of the DLR hotel.

I really like how they include any hard tickets, you have ressies for, in your packet, to save you the hassle of picking them up the day they will be used.
