I would be prepared for larger than normal crowds that first week of January, and would pick the second week. Just be prepared for larger than normal crowds starting Friday, January 13th, since Monday the 16th is a holiday.
Originally Posted By irishfan Thanks for the info, thinking now of holding off until about the 6th. That way we'll arrive on a weekend, so we'll have the park open late on the Saturday night so we can enjoy the fireworks etc. Then we can wait until the Monday to start enjoying the parks.
