My question is--if I tip off a photographer at the castle can they head that way to catch the proposal? Is that my best way of getting a few pictures? Any other ideas for how he can make this a special event? Even though we will be a group of 6 (me, DH, DS and girl friend, and DD and boyfriend) we will do some things en masse but split up as well. Boyfriend is nervous--I told him you'd have some good ideas!

Did he want to propose in private? I'm sure the cast members would be very accomodating to give your family their own boat and your daughter would not be suspicious about all the pics and videotaping. Whatever he decides, wish him luck!

The Court of Angels in NOS is really pretty, and usually pretty empty, but you may have trouble getting a photographer there. You could always station people from your party to roam the area "looking in the stores" and sneek over there once it's started and she's not paying attention to anything but him. There are also many similar areas throughout the park, if she has a favorite area or spot, then they could do it there.

We have great pictures taken by the DL photographer!

There are a couple little statues just inside Fantasyland that make really nice little spots, and the crowds around there tend to be pretty small. It's also a much cozier feeling than in front of the castle, where there is a ton of space and tons of people milling around. If your daughter has a favorite character, movie or location in the park, there is bound to be a nice little place where they can do it. For example, if she likes the feel of Toontown, Minnie's garden is really pretty and tends to be completely empty, except on the busiest days or when Minnie is home. If she likes any of the classic movies, there are a ton of little spaces in Fantasyland where they can have a bit of privacy, while not being completely alone (to let someone still get a picture). I guess the only land that would really have trouble finding a cozy little spot is Tomorrowland, but there are still nice areas that it could be done (Innoventions balcony, Cosmic Waves area, Triton Gardens...)

I almost dropped it going down trying to put in on her finger. The picture turned out great. My sister and her kids were with us on the log. I remeber having the ring in my pocket for a few days in Disneyland waiting for the right time and place Everything has been perfect since. We have been married about 5 years and we just had our first child last Oct. I always joke with her that if she said no I was going to through her overboard

Since everyone at the well usually keeps their focus on the statuary group, the photographer would likely not be spotted. The small bridge over to the left of the castle (near Carnation Gardens) is also quite nice. There is actually a small walled grassy area there that is used for very small Japanese weddings. He could also ask at the Main Street Station for a ride in the Lily Belle parlor car, and pop the question between Frontierland and Toon Town. The whole family could then greet them back on Main Street, and go for a celebratory ride. (I would talk to the conductors at the station, rather than Guest Relations at Main Street.) OR... on the Mark Twain.

We went by the wishing well, where we often would go by, and he took out two pennies. He handed me one, which I threw in and then he held his up and said "I can't throw this in, because only you can make my wish come true." and then he got down on one knee and took out a rose shaped ring box with a gorgeous ring inside. I had to say yes -- he has such good taste.
