It should come as no surprise that they are letting DisneyQuest rot away like they have done to so many other areas of the resort. DisneyQuest's operations model depended on efficiencies resulting from multiple locations. Having seen what they did to the DisneyQuest that I lived a few blocks away from, I don't see how the Orlando one could survive past the next few years. Without multiple locations they simply can't support keeping Orlando's fresh.

For someone to visit from out-of-town and make it the highlight destination of their trip, or worse having the mindset that it was a substitute for Orlando, then I could see why it would disappoint. I think they should have beat Speilberg to the punch and had put it out at Woodfield rather than downtown Chicago. They would have met there extremely out-of-whack forecast targets better out there. What is ironic is that they closed it right when the neighborhood begin an extreme transformation with a HUGE influx of young families ready to sip the Disney Kool-Aid.
