But most of the building is made up of standard video games that can be found anywhere. My 24 year old son who lives by video games take on it was a good place for people into video games, but thought that with the video games so prevalent in so many peoples homes and with video gaming companies struggling financially, that the excitement level wasn't really high except for the large interactive games. I guess with Disney's current ticket structure, DQ might be a fun distraction from the theme parks but at $44 for adults and $33 for children it was rather steep visit for a day quest. I had to chuckle at the fact that there were many parents enjoying the food areas (some napping) while their kids ran free in the building. On the way home my son and I had a great discussion on the history of DQ and Disney's plan to have them all over the country. I know that hindsite is 20/20 but there seems to be some obvious issues with running a gaming attraction in cities where the audience is either in school or work during the week. Add the cost and the ever changing technology and video games in the homes of many people, one could see the problems that DQ brought before they even opened. Sorry, a lot of rambling thoughts here but I am glad I got to do it before our AP's expire. Our next stop is going to be the water parks. The weather here has been unseasonably warm.

I suspect that most of the visitors in WDW are either APers, or people who added the "Water Parks Fun and More" (which really should just be called "Water Parks and DisneyQuest") add-on to their tickets. While I remember there being some neat stuff, I really can't say that it's worth that price. Even if you're only there for half a day, it's likely still cheaper to add another park day to your ticket, and you'll probably have a much more unique experience as a result.
