We walked the waterfalls as we always do, and these too have to go. Even though we enjoy them, they need an enema!! And if it means total removal, so be it. They leak, they smell, they're just plain old and sloppy and its time for a change. DLH, I look forward to your changes and please release the concept art for hte exteriors, I still have never seen it!!

I will say that this renovation is an odd one for Disney in that it's so extensive and yet very little has been revealed about the overall scope of what they have in store for the property. My guess is that management wants to keep the buzz down as to not infringe on bookings during the construction. It would probably have an adverse effect if they advertised that the property was undergoing a multi-year remodeling project.

My sons no matter how tech savy he is loved driving those mini boats. I also am not thrilled with losing the quieter pools, but they were quiet because not many people were not using them, and usage is the key. So I hold hope, that there will be more. There always is with Disney. Now I am holding on tight for fear of reprisal......

It always felt like one of those lame generic hotel bars in some small suburban town rather than the sort of thing one would expect of Disney. In retrospect it was another one of those old dated things left over from when Wrather Corp owned the place and it showed. We know little about the new tiki bar that will replace it, but at least it sounds interesting.

I might as well have been in the tropics! Hula girls, fire dancers, and a terryaki burger with pineapple no less! If they are going to make each tower a land and some of the other areas in original Disneyland themes, I hope they commit and go for it 110 %!

Actually I only been there like 3-4 times lol, with a few LPers and friends through the years, but like the others said, I always had fun there! It was always good times whenever I did go. But I didnt realize they were building another bar in its place (yeah I dont really know anything about this renovation lol) so that will be fine too. As long as its fun and where people can have a few drinks, I'm fine with it .

Surely they will have a temporary outdoor bar set up before completion of the new one? I can't imagine that one by Steakhouse 55 being the only choice. I haven't seen anyone lament the loss of Hook's Pointe. It was a really nice restaurant, reasonable, and it was never crowded.
