DL vs. WDW Popularity contest

    Just based on the numer of topics in the three main sectoins, Genral, Trip planning and Trip reports. I would have to say DL is hands down the winner. Each section has twice as many topics about DL than does WDW. Anyway I don't have any knid of point, just an observation.

    Personally, I think they are both outstanding parks in their own right. If you want to go to a Disney resort where you can spend 10 days or so and still not see everything, WDW is for you.

    But if you want to go to a Disney resort where everything is close and convenient, no busses are necessary, and the Magic Kingdom has a certain charm that WDW's Magic Kingdom will never equal, then DL is the park for you.

    The addition of DCA and Downtown Disney in Anaheim has made DL more competitive as a destination resort, but it still has much less to occupy your time than WDW.

    I say this a lot, but it bears repeating: if you consider yourself a Disney fan, you must make a point of visiting the "other" parks at least once. Disneyland and Disney World are both great, but in different ways. I also hope that during my lifetime I will have the chance to visit some of the overseas parks, too.
